PLACES TO VISIT IN MANALI

ROHTANG PASS
Located at a distance of 51 km from Manali, Rohtang Pass is among one of the best Manali tourist places. It opens annually from June to October and offers a breath-taking view of the surroundings along with snow-capped mountains. A trip to Manali would be incomplete without experiencing the snow with the sledge ride which includes sliding through the snow in a wooden toboggan. You can also stop by Beas Kund, which has an igloo-shaped temple on top of Rohtang Pass which has a spring which directly comes from Beas River. 

SOLANG VALLEY 
Situated at about 14 km northeast of Manali between the village of Solang and Beas Kund, Solang Valley attracts travellers both in winters for its snowfall and in summer for its adventurous sports. Known as a popular sightseeing spot in Manali, Solang Valley's charming views of snow-capped peaks, glaciers, and plains covered in snow will leave you spellbound. The elevation here is perfect for skiing and enjoying the snow. Solang Valley also houses the Atal Bihari Vajpayee Institute of Mountaineering and Allied sport. The institute set up a winter skiing festival every year and also conducts classes and workshops for tourists. 

ATAL TUNNEL 
Atal Tunnel is the world’s longest highway tunnel above 10,000 feet, which has been completed in a span of 10 years. The Atal Tunnel connects Manali with Leh. The horseshoe-shaped single-tube, double-lane has many first. This spot should definitely be on your list, while you plan your trip to Manali. PM Narendra Modi inaugurated the Atal Tunnel in Himachal Pradesh. The PM announced that the tunnel would provide new strengths to the country’s border infrastructure. It also the country’s first tunnels which have an escape tunnel within the main tunnel because of the geography.

MANALI NATURE PARK 
This is the best place for all nature lovers looking for the bliss of solitude. Your trip to Manali would be incomplete without taking a stroll through the thick cedar trees in Manali Nature Park, which borders the Beas River between Manali town and Old Manali.  Being a popular Sightseeing of Manali, Nature park will provide you a dense shield from the outside world.  The park is bound to give a magical, mystic feel.  

VASHISHT 
Almost 3 Km away from Manali, Vashist is another interesting place to see in Manali. Famous for its inexpensive guesthouses and the best place for traveler’s hangout, Vashist is located on the opposite side of the Beas River. The Vashist temple is famous for its natural hot water spring and encloses a pyramid-shaped stone temple dedicated to Sage Vashist. The hot spring is said to have, medicinal properties, and are both famous places to visit in Manali. For a spiritual experience, do not forget to take a dip in hot water. 

HADIMBA TEMPLE 
Devoted to Hadimba, wife of Bhima in Mahabharata, one of the five Pandava prince, this place is must visit place for mythology lovers. This shrine is built in a pagoda style around a natural cave and is surrounded by the beautiful cedar forest of Dhungri Van Vihar. The inner wall of the temple has wooden carving depicting the mythological characters, cosmic dancers, and animal designs. The alluring trees, snow-capped mountains serve as a perfect backdrop and make it best place to visit in Manali. Every year in May, a three-day fair is organized to celebrate the birthday of the goddess which sees the gathering of devotees from all around.
